Dr. Richard Caldera Memorial Oration 2022

Dr. Richard Caldera (President SLCOG from 1970 – 1971) was an archetypical obstetrician who served for the betterment of field obstetrics in the country. His service to the SLCOG and the medical profession is well recognized and he is honoured through the “Richard Caldera memorial oration”

Keeping up with the tradition, the Richard Caldera Memorial Oration for the year 2022 was held on the 20th of February at the Eagle Banquet Hall, Waters Edge, Battaramulla.

The Orator was Prof. Sanjeewa Padumadasa, who spoke on the topic ” Bottom down fetal presentation: the naked truth – The art of vaginal breech delivery”

The event was presided by SLCOG President, Prof. Sanath Lanerolle who handed the Orator’s certificate to Prof. Padumadasa.
