Essentials of Obstetrics at your Doorstep 2026 - Phase 04 - Maternity and Children's Hospital, Kalutara, Sri Lanka

The 25th Phase of the EOD project series since its beginning in the year 2024 and the fourth program for the year 2026 was successfully held at the Maternity and Children’s Hospital, Kalutara, Sri Lanka, on 02nd July 2026. The programme was launched under the leadership of President SLCOG Prof Rukshan Fernandopulle, and the programme was reformed by Dr Darshana Abeygunawardana, Chairman of Regional Activities & Developments, and Dr Prabath Randombage, Chairman of Education and Setting Standards.

The programme was well coordinated by Dr Mangala Dissanayake, Dr Dinusha Liyanapatabendi, Dr Sharadha Jayalath, Dr Wedisha Gankanda and Dr Amila Rubasinghe on behalf of the SLCOG. Health staff from DGH, Horana, Kethumathie Hospital, Panadura and the sub-areas have joined the session. Capacity building was done for health professional doctors, institutional nurses, and field staff.
