Ceremonial launch of confidential enquiry in to maternal deaths in Sri Lanka
Confidential enquiry into maternal deaths (CEMD) were started as a pilot project in western and southern provinces from 1st of March 2022. Ceremonial launch was held at the auditorium Family Health Bureau with a participation of a large audience and officials from Ministry of Health and the Sri Lanka College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Chief Guest of the ceremony was Dr. Asela Gunawardene, Director General of Health Services.
