Opening of the Cell Academia SLCOG digital library and newly renovated Simulation Centre

On the auspicious occasion of December 29th 2024, the Sri Lanka College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists celebrated another milestone with the opening of its new Digital library premises Cell Academia SLCOG and newly renovated Simulations Centre and skills laboratory. The event was marked by the distinguished presence of Dr. Marlene Abeyewardena (Patron SLCOG), who conducted the ribbon-cutting ceremony, ushering in a new era for Research and Academic Activities. The event was attended by Past Presidents Dr Rohana Haththotuwa (2008), Dr Ananda Ranathunga ( 2011), Prof Athula Kaluarachchi ( 2019), Dr U D P Ratnasiri (2020) Current President Dr Mangala Dissanayaka, President-Elect Dr S P Akmeemana, Hon. Secretary Dr Achintha Dissanayaka, Chairman Scientific Activities & Research Dr Darshana Abeygunawardana, Dr Prabath Randombage and Dr Kumara Dissanayaka to witness this graceful occasion.

The new digital library and renovated skills laboratory serve as a testament to the college’s dedication to advancing scholarly research, and academic and training facility upliftment in the filed of obstetrics and gynaecological education in the country.
