Secretary’s Message

Dear Fellows, Members and Guests,

It is my honour to welcome you all to the official website of the Sri Lanka College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (SLCOG) as the secretary for the year 2024. Sri Lanka College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists since its inception in 1953 has grown from strength to strength due to the hard work, dedication and talent of its vibrant membership. As a pioneer organization, working to uplift women’s health SLCOG is committed to reducing maternal mortality and morbidity. SLCOG website provides useful links to past academic events, webinars, guidelines providing a wealth of information for clinical practitioners. There are useful patient information leaflets which are freely accessible to the general public as well.

The year 2024 will be an eventful year for SLCOG, with safe motherhood programs, webinars, training programs organized throughout the year in addition to the annual academic sessions. I sincerely acknowledge the dedication and commitment rendered by our council members, past presidents, fellows, members, and administrative staff, in making each of these events a success. I wish SLCOG and its membership all the best for the year to reach newer heights and horizons and invite you all to engage in SLCOG activities and be part of our remarkable journey.
