World Prematurity Day Celebration 2023

The joint symposium on “Prematurity” was successfully held by the Sri Lanka College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (SLCOG) In collaboration with the Perinatal Society of Sri Lanka (PSSL) on 19th November 2023, at the Grand Ballroom, Galadari Hotel, Colombo.

The symposium was organized in order to mark World Prematurity Day 2023.

The chief guest and the guest of honour for the event were Hon. Dr Ramesh Pathirana, Minister of Health & Minister of Industries and Dr Asela Gunawardena, Director General of Health Services, respectively.

Hon. Dr Seetha Arambepola, Prof Hemantha Dodampahala, President of SLCOG, Dr Susie Perera, President of PSSL, Prof Sanath Lanerolle, Immediate past president of SLCOG, Dr Saman Kumara, Immediate Past President, PSSL, Dr Shemoon Marleen, Chairman of Scientific Activities & Research SLCOG and Dr Chandana Jayasundara, Secretary of SLCOG, Dr Surantha Perera and Dr H T Wickremasinghe were among the delegate group.

The session concluded with a reception and a musical event.
